Has Web Hosting Helped World Trade?

The Internet and web hosting definitely made the world smaller, in terms of communication. But what about world trade, and what role did it play in that? Earlier world trade used to be a very difficult task, as people had to wait for weeks or months for communication to go through. It improved with the advent of the telephone, but unfortunately it proved to be very expensive.
Now, in 1991, no one ever thought that there would be a revolution with the World Wide Web, and the world’s communication. When web hosting stormed the world, people thought it was more as a source of information, than anything else. But slowly, everyone began using the email. It started only as personal emails, but the world saw potential for other opportunities.
As the use of the email grew, the communication between traders around the world became faster, and helped speed up the process of business transactions. Then they were all fascinated by the idea of owning web pages. If each business organization had a web page, then it would make things easier for the buyers as well as sellers.
The buyers could access this web page, and then place their requirements instantly, instead of waiting for replies that could take days. There would be no need to fear the time difference between countries either, as with the speed, nothing else seemed to matter. Through web hosting, and business organizations hosting their web pages, buyers from across the world were benefited.
While without web hosting the buyers were limited, once it grew, buyers who had never heard of such opportunities grew. With this concept, they did not have to waste time talking to people, and hunting for doors to open. All they needed was to click the mouse, and if they were accustomed to using the Internet, there would be plenty of trade opportunities.
Web hosting and the Internet have helped the trade community form communities. This did not happen in the beginning because the process was expensive. Not everyone could afford to host a web page and market their business. Over the years, web hosting evolved, and more individuals were involved in this business, and thus made it less expensive.
This allowed almost everyone to host a web page, and also connected millions of people across the world. Even under developed countries, were able to promote businesses and access the Internet because of the revolution. The trade grew of course, with buyers and sellers meeting through communities.
What also helped was the fact that several web sites were even hosted for free. They were backed by advertising. Through this, it brought millions of users to this online community. Not only was the communication instant, people were able to think of more innovative ideas with trade. They could sell and buy products they had never dreamed of selling.
What’s more, people even started trading through the Internet, without even leaving their homes. With web hosting, world trade has grown in billions of dollars.
